  • Direct oversight and responsibility of all functions of Union Square 189-room hotel, to ensure a smoothly functioning, efficient organization, exceeding the expectations of the guests during a complete lobby and meeting space renovation, employed strategic planning to ensure minimal impact to hotel guests.

  • Managed human resources and community relations of closing an iconic much-loved restaurant.

  • Drove appropriate revenue management strategies to gain long term solid base for hotel.

  • Capably communicated with stakeholders to provide financial info and operational insights.

TASK FORCE GENERAL MANAGER

  • During five month search for permanent GM, smoothly ran all aspects of Club operations and financial planning and of private member golf club and LPGA-caliber championship golf course. 

  • Grew Membership and prospect pipeline, and drove sales and marketing for banquet, catering, and tournament events via new initiatives.

  • Strong project management.  Supervised capital projects including new on-course bathroom construction, hole and green renovation, driving range netting replacement, and new front vehicle gate.  Employed strategic planning to ensure minimal impact to Membership.

  • Created following year's Operational and CapEx budget.  Provided advice and recommendations to the Board of Directors pertaining to capital improvements, building & course maintenance, equipment & service.

TRANSITION TO NEW BRAND

  • Oversaw hotel-side of full lobby, banquet, and food and beverage facilities renovation and transformation of hotel to a vacation time-share brand.  Designed agile strategies for both associates and guests, minimized disruptions during renovations within a CBA framework.

  • Complete on-site responsibility for operations, staff and budgets of 233-room urban-chic Fisherman’s Wharf property in San Francisco.

  • Developed business plans designed to maximize property customer satisfaction, profitability, market share, and associate satisfaction via a cohesive and high-performing leadership team.

  • Grew revenues consistently 15+% year over year, regardless of guestrooms out of order.

MARKETING PROPERTY FOR SALE

  • Responsible for successfully closing all operations for eventual sale while effectively ensuring employees remained motivated and productive; and managed human resources of clean layoffs.

  • Complete responsibility for financial operations, human resources, culinary operations, and hospitality aspects of iconic property near Gualala, CA on California's north coast.

  • Wisely optimized budgets and controlled expenses; and drove revenues through entrepreneurial processes and marketing efforts.

  • Successful site tours for prospective asset ownership groups.
